Two Years Ago >

That's when it all started.

If it feels like time has flown by, I know why.  We've been having fun...And making a difference.  It's fun seeing hundreds of college students walking through the doors once a month at BD>Breakdown.  It's even more fun seeing them launch their own ministries around the country and around the world. 

But it wasn't always this way.  Two years ago, we were frustrated and desperate.  We were going through students like disposable lighters.  They would start to light a fire, but soon that spark was out and they were gone.  We needed something fresh, something different, something that would work and keep on working.

We needed BD>Breakdown

When we started BD>Breakdown two years ago, we wondered if more than a handful would come.  There are, after all, lots of great college ministries out there.  That year, over 150 students joined us.

This year that number grew to 250 students.

They came from all kinds of churches-everyone from ultra conservative to ultra progressive - and all those in-between.  We think that's fantastic.

Our mission is simple: to bring college students together once a month for prayer, worship, and unity.  It's about being Biblically Relevant in their lives. 

We don't think outside the box-we blew the box up, and we're building something new.  That's why we've been successful.  We try new things and learn from our successes- and our less-than successes. 

We just dared to do what He told us. >

We are passionate about worship and God's Word!  So we did it big.  No apologies.  The students were worth it.  Yeah, we've heard from the critics.  No problem.  Jesus had His share, too.  Here's what we've found.  They're all long distance critics.  'Cause when you see this thing up close, you see more than the cool atmosphere, hundreds of college students.  You see the student’s faces.  College Students totally logged on with God. 

And that's what this is all about! 

I can't wait to see you, Thursday Night February 2nd.  Texas Fine Arts Auditorium at Baptist Bible College 628 E. Kearney at 11 PM.  That's right PM!  Get Ready to Experience God!  We are taking over Springfield!

We need your help:  On Friday, January 27th we are going to bombard the campuses with flyers and posters.  We will meet in the Student Center at BBC at 4PM and 8PM.

Greetings Baptist Bible Collegians!

Well, some of you are probably wondering if this is real or even legitimate. . . It is, sad to say.   Anywho, this thing will really get up and running as soon as the next semester starts on the 24th but I thought I'd inform everyone about this now.  The idea behind it is simple it is a way to keep all of you informed on upcoming events, share our hearts, and keep the maximum amount of people involved.  What we would like to see is updates on not just breakdown, but also on outside of school events and activities like the Colby, Kansas concert or summer camping schedule.  We'd like student features and any suggestions.  I know all of you are on the edge of your seats in anticipation but please restrain yourselves from breaking your mouse, it gets better!  Actually it probably doesn't but anyway, have fun see you in class.
